31st March 2017 LNER A3 60103 Flying Scotsman passing Salt Lake cottages approaching Ribblehead with the Settle & Carlisle re-opening special from the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway to Carlisle and return. The train was marking the first day of resumption of through services on the route following the repair of the landslip which occurred at Eden Brows just over a year ago.60103 SaltLake 310317 N63A4305-a
 by Tony Woof. The obvious choice to mark the re-opening of the Settle Carlisle, following 14 months of closure had to be non other than A3 Pacific No.60103 'Flying Scotsman'. The afternoon was bright and breezy for the many onlookers at Ais Gill, as the big A3 crosses the viaduct.
