5043 failed at Carlisle on an intended tour round the Cumbrian Coast. Instead it moved with support coach to Carnforth via the Settle Carlisle.
On a day that should have seen 5043 'Earl of Mount Edgcumbe' snaking round the Cumbrian Coast, sadly it was not to be, following problems with an axlebox, she was removed as a precaution at Carlisle, then took a sedate jaunt back to Carnforth along the Settle & Carlisle line, while the remainder of the charter was diesel hauled. 5043 is seen in the Eden Valley, horse and cart, passing Duncowfold.Not the Cumbrian Coast
