13809 used between Carnforth and Hellifield.
In complete contrast to the previous photo, 92220 is seen with a Northbound CME when telegraph poles were still part of the scene at Sherrif Brow. The 9F 2-10-0s were associated with the S & C towards the end of steam with working the Long Meg - Widnes anhydrite trains and so the use of 92220 had some authenticity. Unfortunately though, the Swindonised '9P' version was quite a departure from its normal classmates and looked much more suited to this type of duty.SHERRIF BROW 21ST APRIL 1984
