Wreath on smokebox door in memory of traction inspector Jim Smith. First passenger carrying steam charter on the mainline in England after Covid-19 lockdown.

No.70000 'Britannia' heads Saphos Trains 'Fellsman' towards Risehill Tunnel. A very welcome sight and sound I imagine for many steam starved fans, myself included.

Sapplings have been planted on both sides of the southern approach to the tunnel mouth and I suspect several angles will soon be lost again.

The wreath on the smokebox was for traction inspector Jim Smith who recently passed away.
