Delayed northbound departure from Hellifield due to a points failure. Water taken at Appleby on the up line using the water column with 6201 having detached from the train, owing to no tanker being present. Southbound cautioned in the Crosby Garrett area due to suspected children on the line.
The 2019 Dalesman season commences in style with LMS thoroughbred No.6201 'Princess Elizabeth' undertaking her first revenue earning job following protractive repairs. The tour was not without incident.
