 at , Garsdale, England, United Kingdom by The Talkin Lens. 44871 & 45407 The Lancashire Fusilier cross Dandry Mire Viaduct at Garsdale Head, starting the final ascent to Ais Gill Summit, with The Citadel The trackbed of the old line to Hawes can be seen branching off to the left. In the middle distance and lower right hand side are the Midland Railway cottages, 22 in total. The roof of Mount Zion chapel is just above the railway bridge over the road, and in the foreground is the Moorcock Inn. Garsdale station platforms are visible next to the railway cottages, with the signal box prominent on the northbound side and semaphores both north and south of the station. The platform that used to be used for the Hawes branch trains can be seen on the left of the station, the trackbed now tarmacked over. The location of the station in its isolated and elevated position above the valley can be appreciated.
