A remarkable stroke of luck with otherwise solid steel skies as far as the eye could see, a break in the cloud opened up for some 200 yards. I was stood on the bridge in the distance, a matter of minutes before 46115 was due and made a last moment decision to relocate 400 yards further south, where the light was almost coming through. Fortune was on my side and the sun came out just as the Scot approached, and with a bit of steam from the lifting safety valves, to say I'm pleased with this result is an understatement! 46115 'Scots Guardsman' heads the returning Dalesman past Greenlands on the approach to Wastebank Tunnel.Scots Guardsman at Greenlands
